Super C Flywheel Ring Gear

I have been mulling over this and trying to avoid replacing my flywheel ring gear, but the starter drive made a grinding noise again yesterday, even after I had replaced it the week before last. Since I am going to have the tractor stripped down anyway, now is really the time to break it in half instead of waiting for the inevitable. I bought a new ring gear today ($23.00 from the IH dealer). I will attempt this operation in the next week or so. Is there anything else I should do while I have her in two pieces? Any advice would be appreciated.
