I have pulled the #1and #4 bearing caps and have found some piting as i would put it, on the bearings, some piting is deep. when i was rotating the pully up front the whole show would stop dead it in its tracks. so that means that something is hiting somewear on the block that much is for sure. ? is what,where,and why? so when the sun comes back up i will take a look up in to the belly of the great beast and see if i can see where it is hiting/rubing. by the way the center main bearing looks fine, its the conecting rod bearing caps that look a little tore up. may have to replace the berings with the bearings out of the 1943 H that has the sleeve problem if they match that is.
