1066 Muffler Removal

I'll be tearing down the 1066 this winter. 3 or 4 years ago, I wanted to remove the muffler and couldn't get it off. I removed the clamp, but never did get the muffler to dudge. The muffler is in good shape, so I'd like to save it if possible. Any suggestions? Mitch
