I farmed with both for many years, like them both, some jobs I liked the 560 better and most jobs I liked the 656 better. My 560 diesel was turned up to 90-100 hp when it was 1 year old so naturally on brute force pulls it would out do the 656 diesel. I never tampered with power of 656. 656 was a far more manuverable tractor. I had 16.9x38 tires on both tractors and in 75 added a 1066. The 656D was in my opinion the most efficient tractor I ever owned. I used it for drilling grain, corn planting, spraying, baling, Mower conditioner and pulled a 5x16 semi-mount plow with it. 656 had 10,000 hours on it before any rebuilding of any components. My 656 always started a bit easier, didn't take quite as long on glow plugs.
