Well guys, I checked the serial number in the daylight--its 266668 (1948?) and the model # is FAA and I didn't write it down but I think the RPM was something like 1540. We had to drag it off the trailer with our '58 D-17--the rear wheels don't roll. I don't know if the brakes are stuck or the rear end/tranny or maybe the clutch. I'll know soon enough when I start the teardown. One rear rim is bad but the other is good. Front rims will probably be OK although one has a little wastage around the valve stem. The bad news is that I drained the oil pan--90% water. I looked for freeze cracks and there may be one on the left side, but it's too early to tell. This one looks more like a casting line or indention--I'm hoping and praying. For now, I've filled the crankcase with diesel fuel. Next, I'll pull out the plugs and try to blow out any water. I know I'll have to tear down the engine, but for now I just want to "stop the bleeding". Well back to work I go. Hope all have a good week.
