Hello everyone. I ordered tune up stuff for the farmall and was putting them on today and have run into a problem. The tractor I am working on still has the 6V system. The coil that the dealer ordered for me looks different from my coil that came off the tractor. The new one looks more like a 12 volt coil to me. It is much bigger and the bracket holes are too wide to bolt correctly on the distributer. The box number for it is 396546R93 which I think is the correct number, but the number on the coil itself is 29690. The wire leads on the new coil (positive and negative) are on the same end as the coil wire. I resulted in putting my old coil on for now untill I can get it cleared up. Anyone else have this problem. Think it got boxed up wrong somewhere? Any info would be helpful. With new wires, plugs, points, rotor, and distributer cap it sounds alot better. Sure anxious to get that new coil on it. Thanks in advance, RAyA
