I have had this M for 2 or 3 years and just noticed that the spark plug wires are in reverse order from what my other M's and Super H is. The tractor runs fine this way. I put the plug wires in the correct order and it would not hit a lick so I put them back like they were. I have never had one like this before. I am assuming that the previous owner has installed the distributor 180 degrees off. The points and condenser are where they are supposed to be. I have no experience with distributors except for changing points and condenser. I have a friend that works at Case IH and he said he would come look at it over the weekend but of course he mostly works on newer tractors. Can this be corrected without taking the front cover off? Is my engine being harmed running in reverse order? What is the best way to correct this. Leave it alone??

I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
