H radiator close to steering shaft

I adjusted my radiator foward with the threaded rod so I can get the hood to fit pretty well (It use to be on the gas tank). My problem now is the steering shaft that goes through the radiator is very close ( but doesn't hit) to the side of the hole in the radiator (On the generator side). I have tried turning the radiator but then my fan is too close on the other side. The radiator is on the rubber pads. Any ideas?? thanks.
