It would seem to me that a single row picker would have a wide front steering axel in order to pass over the plants. Or perhaps the picker steer wheel just ran over the cotton plant after it was picked. Conversely, the two row picker would have a single wheel lower bolster. The last time I saw cotton growing was when I was eight. Never did see it being picked.
