I found that to be an interesting recomendation. I will have to keep that in mind. Apparrently no one seems to have this problem but I will ask the question anyway. Isn't there a risk that the electricity travelling through the old threads to connect the electrical current path in the welding process will well them to the block itself? I have heard of people ruining bearings by attempting to make repairs without removing the broken item. It strikes me that the same risk would be present here. What are your thoughts on that?
