Tim - My father in law picked several thousand acres of sweet corn with a 234 mounted on a Super M. It did the job (it had the power, etc) running 7 - 9 ton/acre corn, mostly in 3rd gear. However in the late 60's he swapped the Super M for an Oliver 1650 under the picker. The Oliver's greater HP, live PTO and Hydrapower (2 speed power shift) made the picking outfit faster and more flexible under varying crop conditions. And it's power steering made life a lot easier on the operator! ...Bob M
