And while you are at it, pump it up with water too. It doesn't take much air under pressure to rip a tank open far enough to kill you. Using air to try to undent a gas tank should be classified as suicide so your insurance would not even pay off. Some people have gotten away with it on flat automotive tanks, but they probably pass on hills on two lane roads, too. Just because you have done something unsafe and got away with it does not even mean you are lucky, it just means you are stupid and will keep trying until you can't try anymore. This goes for welding on rims with tires aired up, too.
