Gary: I don't have the answer, but you do have me curious. I currently have a 53 SA, 130 and 140 and in my lifetime have owned 2 other SA and another 130. I obviously did not have this plug. I gather from your description it is similar to a frost plug on an engine block, right or wrong? Does this plug hold the hydraulic oil in the resovoir? Relative to rockshaft and hydraulic filter screen could you tell me more precicely where it is located? How long did IH built them with these plugs?
