Welcome to the wonderful world of Farmall tractors Ted!! You'll find a wealth of useful information ready to be shared by the great people on this forum. Now to business... I've made my own wiring harnesses for letter series Farmalls. It's very straightforward on account of the elementary electrics on the these tractors. Price is right too - $15 or so worth of crimp terminals, wire and friction tape and you'll be good to go. Pre-made harnesses look nice and usually (but not always...!) fit. They are the way to go if you are a restoration purist. But I find them a bit spendy for my purposes. Anyway if you decide to make your own harness, post back a) whether your A has a 3- or 4-position light switch, and b) whether it is equipped with a cutout relay (3 terminals and mounted on the generator), or a voltage regulator (4 terminals and mounted away from the generator) I can post or send a wiring diagram for you to use. ...Bob M

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
