HELP I have an 1964 Oliver 550 gas with a Marvel-Schebler TSX-811 (64F) updraft Carburetor . I recently cleaned out the carburetor when the lead additive jelled and plugged the carbureator after 5 months of nonuse. When I set the “High Speed Load Adjustment” screw gas siphons from the gas tank and through the main nozzle into the venturi and out the throat until I shut off the fuel valve at the tank. The float seems to be Ok it floats and there are no sloshing sounds as if it is leaking and gas is getting inside of it. When I test on the bench the needle and seat seem to seal when I hold the float up and open when I let the float go. The float is set at the manual specification of ¼” down form the gasket surface. I have a carburetor rebuild kit and I hope this solves the problem when I rebuild the carburetor ( I used all the old gaskets when I cleaned out the carb) Am I missing something? Is there anything I overlooked ? Is there some trick to rebuilding a Marvel-Schebler updraft carburetor? I am desperate and frustrated as the tractor always ran great and now I do not know what to do the get it running again. Can anyone Please help me out there???? Thank you
