Was this machine pushing a bush hog backwards? My experience, which is limited, has shown that bushhogs & finishing mowers cut much better in the forward direction. Also, with the single front (aka rear) wheel, I believe I'd stay on level ground! The biggest, baddest cutting machine I've ever seen is one of the NH 8810's with the 7', 4 bladed bushhogs that Georgia Power uses to clear power lines. 4wd, Duals front & back, etc. Whatever you can get under it, it will cut!
