I was checking on the weekend to make sure my electrical system was charging the battery proberly and I came across something really weird. When the tractor is turned off I got 6.4V at the battery. As soon as I start it up, my digital volt meter goes blank. After about 10 seconds it finally came back with a reading and it was wandering around 190V. This surprised me somewhat so I tried a reading right at the generator and it was reading around 200V. I have a very strong suspicion that this is not the real output (ya think!!!!) and that my digital multimeter just cannot handle the dirty power coming out of the generator. Would that be the consensus or do I having something gone sour in my electrical system. Worthy of note is that the tractor runs just fine. In case it matters, I have a 300U Wheatland Gas with a generator, still on 6V.
