Reliablity of engines w/ aftermarket turbos

Looked at an 826 today, it had an M&W turbo. I know that it generally isn't a good idea to put an aftermarket turbo on an engine, as factory naturally-asperated engines aren't built for it, but thought I'd ask if anyone has been around Internationals with M&W turbos, such as the 806, 826, and 856. I would like to know how they held up, what kind of horsepower can be expected, ect.
