Bearing cage removel on F-30

There is a plate with 7 3/8ths holes in it called the bearing cage. Does that get pulled straight out or what. Cant see applyikng heat as it faces both the OD and ID, hince nowhere to swell out to. Also, I notice there is about a 1/4 in at the beinning of each bolt hole that has no theads, Is that a front plate,. to be removed, and if so how, or is that just the way they made the whole part?? Ive got 4 bolts pulling on it and it hasnt give a bit
