What you say about the 86 series and to some degree is true of 66 series and the economic climate that followed. Most of the farmers that made the plunge into new equipment in the 06, 26 and 56 series days had them paid off before that hit. 66 series were kind of border line on this. I also believe these 100 plus hp tractors that were worked are not going to be kicking around when they are 50 to 60 years old like the Farmall M did. It quite frankly surprises me to hear of so many 56, 66 and 86 series tractors under 10,000 hours. Where I hail from we were wacking the hours on at the rate of between 800 and 1000 hours per year. I would have thought 66 series tractors would all be in excess of 20,000 hours by now. I guess there must have been a lot of farmers well enough off they bought these to look at.
