Super A center steering arm removal??

Hello,

I'm in the process of fixing up a Super A (s/n311906). The center steering arm is badly worn and I need to replace it. As I don't have a service manual yet, I was hoping someone here could tell me the easist way to get make the swap. Mine has the tapered shaft design. Looks as though the axle has to come off, is this correct? Will the it just slide out of the pivots or what? Is there a better way? Thanks, Skeeter
