Guys - Have a 1935 F-20. I understand that the left hand front side of the clutch housing has a hole/port to view the timing mark on the front side of the flywheel. I have seen it. Looking thru the hole (which is a challenge in itself), as #1 piston comes up to TDC, I do not see any marks anywhere on the flywheel, but do see about a 1/2" diameter hole in the flywheel, in line with the viewing port, about where the a mark should be. There appear to be no other holes in the flywheel that line up with this port. Is this my timing mark? If not, what am I looking for? Also, the manual says the cross pin in the front of the crankshaft where the starting crank engages to should be horizontal when the engine is at TDC. Viewing the pistons when the head was off, the pin is 10-15 degrees off. Is the manual a rough guide here, was this hole for the pin that accurately put in, or do I have another problem here ? Thanx guys !
