Bill: On that starter drive, there are two different drives; the old bendix type and a newer clutch type. This newer clutch type takes that slam out of the starter hitting hard. Much easier on starter and ring gear. The only place I have ever seen the newer type is at CaseIH dealers. I have it on all my tractors even the 6 volt one. The difference is unbelievable.
