If you don't have fire from the coil, take a VOM (voltage ohm meter) and see if you have voltage to the coil. If not, you need to suspect either an open off-on switch or an open ammeter. Either will stop the voltage from getting to the coil. I've had three open ammeters since I've been fooling with these Farmalls. Two were caused by grounded wires, so check for this if the ammeter is open. Good luck.
