It is very likely that there is a bit of debris in the needle seat area.
Try: 1. installing an in-line filter
2. shut off the tank valve and run the engine until the carb is empty, remove the carb drain plug, and flush the debris out.
3. the float could be rubbing on the sides of the carb bowl; disassemble and check carefully for clearance.
4. just shut off the tank valve when you park; that is the safe thing to do anyhow.
