You got it Bob - no need for warning light and external regulator with the one wire alternator! However for the ammeter to indicate correctly (i.e. show whether the battery is being charged) wiring should be like this: 1 - From alternator output stud to one ammeter terminal. All electrical loads (ignition switch supply, light switch supply) connect to this same ammeter stud. 2 - From the OTHER ammeter terminal to the starter switch battery stud. (Note: If the ammeter reads "backward" when you are finished simply reverse the connections at the two ammeter terminals) Graphically, simply take the diagram in the link posted above and omit the wiring connected to the #1 and #2 alternator terminals.
