The guy I bought my "H" from must have been a southpaw since he had the rope bracket on the left side of the seat rather than the right side. I suppose it really doesnt matter except to say that the reason they were put there was to keep people from tying the rope to places it shouldnt, like the spring, umbrella bracket, rear light, or the seat itself, and other less than desirable places. If you notice, the bracket is made of thin enough steel so that if the plow becomes unhooked, or the rope becomes taut for any other reason, that it will tear thru the bracket long before it will damage the seat or any other thing. By the way, I recieved my O.E.M.catalog yesterday, and am impressed with the new items they have added. I have bought several items from them before, and find them to be dedicated to finding or making parts to original specs.
