Brian, the square nuts with the hole in them are made to be flush with the outside of the housing. You should have a spacer pipe (1" regular pipe will do) about nine inched long that slides into the square housing and keeps the square nuts spaced to be flush with the outside of the housing. The nuts are kept in place from the inside by the pipe and the outside by the bracket that suspends the plow. The angle set bolts of which you speak are then tightened down to hold that 1" pipe spacer in place. Curt
