Mouse nest in Torque Tube

Last weekend I decided to start my tractors and give them a good warm up. In my Super A, I encountered a mouse building a nest in torque tube . He was using material from an old sofa cushion I find quite comfortable on SA seat for and old backside. Since I had the other tractors running and SA was last, I started it and immediately closed doors on shed, and left the tractors running. My thinking was that fumes and carbon monoxide would cause the mouse to rethink this location as a winter home. Corn and beans around me have all been harvested in past month. Lo, I went to shed today and his home building continues. The little devil ran down the drawbar, me swiping at him with steel bar. He managed to avoid me. Using heavy wire and a screwdriver I removed about 2 quarts of his nest material. I then for want of a better material sprayed an ample supply of penetrating oil in torque tube from both ends. Just so he wouldn't decide to move I did the 130 and 140 as well. Does anyone have some better suggestions? Mouse has got to go. A friend had this happen with Super C and started tractor without realizing mouse nest was there. It wound up in release bearing and presure plate fingers, breaking the fingers off presure plate as well as bending the activation lever to the release bearing. Costs a lot of time and money. I guess I haven't been using tractor enough, and mouse decided some creature may as well use them.
