Im at the point now where I have yet to be able to free up the pistons, although Ive only had them soaking about a month or so now.I have had the head rebuilt, only to make sure it was good before I went any further.I can sell the head now for 800 which gets all my money back in it and the tractor, but have wanted this tractor for many years now, since I found it back in 90 and my buddy bought it and got scared as I am now.I can get the sleeves and all,but would like to save the pistons.,and I dont want to pull the engine until I can get the pistons out,or at the least loose so Ill know it can be rebuilt.I am also worrying now over the injectors and the pump as I understand it can cost upwards of 1500 for those to be rebuilt. My questions are:Does anyone have a way I could get the sleeve and pistons oput at the same time,I hope to be able to gt a first class machinist brother of mine to put the on the horizntal band saw and hopefully cut the sleeve of of the piston.,if I can get the whole thing out.Second question,is there anyway I can bench test the pump to see if its ok.I understand itll be better if I have it professionally done, but at this point,I dont want to spend any more than I have to.I thnk you for your opinions and advice.
