I've heard before of putting Marvel Mystery oil in the transmission to make it easier to shift when it's cold. I dunno for sure but I would imagine it wouldn't take a whole lot of the stuff to make the trans oil turn red.
Marvel oil smells really sweet, did you notice an odd smell?
