Went out yesterday and started the 560 up to plow the driveway out. I have to pull it because my generator is shot, and the battery is weak. When it did fire off, my power steering didn't work, and the blade that I have on the back wouldn't move. I used the tractor this past wednesday, and the hydrolics worked good. It has done this once before, but I left it run for about 20 minutes and then it began to work. During that time, I heard a very loud squeeling noise coming from the pump. The next day, I changed the hydrolic filter, and it looked new. Oil looked good. The previous owner said he changed every fluid except the motor oil. It ran about 10-15 minutes yesterday, and the blade wouldn't move at all. My question is, could it be the pump, or is it the 0-20 degree weather we have been having? When I took the plate off the side to replace the filter, the oil looked like 30-40 weight, ran at a quick rate, and I hadn't had the tractor operating for over 24 hours? Note, the hydrolics are very stong, strong enough to pick the front end of the tractor off the ground, with over 400 pounds of weight on the front bracket {has a fast hitch}. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!!
