I did my AV last week, I would recomend you change the axle seals while you are in there any-way,they usually leak a bit after 50 years. They cost me $15.00 each. It took me a day by myself to change. The axle housing weighs about 100lb.,you should have a little shop crane or a buddy or two to help lift off and on. It isn't as bad a job as it looks,very staight forward. I also replaced the clevise forks on the brake rod for easy adjusting, and all of the fine thead hardware. good luck.
