I posted a question about the clutch in my 504 about a week ago. Armed with the parts book I ordered from this web site and the I&T service manual, I think I will attempt to replace the clutch myself sometime over the next few months. Before deciding to replace the clutch, I took several peoples advice, and I tried adjusting the clutch and TA per the IT manual, but the gears still grind when trying to shift, unless the tractor is idled down. I assume that the reason the gears are grinding is that the clutch is not releasing all the way when I push in the clutch pedal. What would be the likely cause? Thanks again for any help.
