Hi, is the return sring on clutch pedal broken ? This spring is supposed to keep the clutch pedal pulled up so that the throwout bearing does not ride on the pressure plate fingers. If the clutch pedal is adjusted properly and the return spring functioning the throwout bearing should not be touching the pressure plate fingers or turning when the pedal is not depressed. Also were you replacing the clutch with the HD 6 paddle clutch from a 684? My brother has a 454, 495 with 2250 loader and 684. We put the same HD clutch, presure plate and bearings in 454 and 495 as in the 684. God luck JB
