Farmall Cub is a QUITTER!

I was planning to plant a few rows of corn this past weekend, so I cranked up the cub, just like I had for the past few weekends, and as soon as I would let off the clutch it would move a foot or two then quit. No matter how much throttle I give it, the motor peters out. In neutral, the engine will run good, even at full throttle. I was wondering if anyone has had this experience and what they did to fix it. My gut feeling is that it is somehow starving for fuel.
