It's not a tough job, really. Bob M's pictures will help you quite a bit. Block the tractor so it CAN NOT ROLL OR DROP! Don't get in a big hurry. If something doesn't want to go back together, don't reach for the big hammer as a first response. On the other hand you may well need the BIG hammer to get the shaft to drop out of the sector gear after you take the nut off the top. If you have to hit it, put an oak block or a piece of aluminum on top of the shaft so you don't mess up the end of it. Keep your toes back when it drops.
