(H) rod orientation

Was wondering the correct way to reinstall the rods on my (H). the only markings that I see on the rods are punch marks indicating 1,2,3,4 cylinders. The rods are off set, if I remember right the cap faces the intake side, but I just wanted to double check beffore making a huge time consuming mistake.The book I ordered 3 weeks ago has still not arrived !
