Mike: The frog is the V shaped device bolted to the plow beam that all plowing parts bolt to. All plows have landsides, that being the flat part going along the landside of furrow. Moldboard, some are all one piece while others have a replacable shin at the front end of moldboard. These shins are usually tapered from 3 to 6 inches and same curve as moldboard. Point and share, some plows are one piece point and share, while others have two piece. The share is the blade going across bottom of moldboard and point will be 3" wide up to 10" going down right side of bottom. To give you some examples pre 1962 IH used General Purpose bottom in most of US. In Canada Ace bottom. Near as I can tell, if your near the border you can have either. These two have one piece moldboard and shin and one piece point and share. Post 1960 most plow bottoms were first Plow Chief with separate moldboard, shin, share and point. They later went to Super Chief with separate moldboard and shin with one piece share and point. I believe there are also some variations. I didn' mention landsides in these examples as they all have landsides. I have two plow parts books here covering about 50 different IH plows with examples of all bottoms. If you provide some frog and moldboard part numbers I'm sure I can figure what you have. Both plows.

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
