Harlen, The steering box is a common problen in the older farmall's. Our 300 almost shook you off the seat while going down the road. What we did was a complete overhaul. Case IH makes new bushings that go inside the main shaft tube, which we replaced, we also took the shaft to a local machine shop to build it up a couple thousand's since it showed signs of wear. Put it all back together with new seals... now it drives great and even holds oil.
