Deere guy buys an F-12!

Yep, after restoring a few A's and B's I've decided to try something different. Here are a couple of questions for you Farmall guys.
First, my F-12 is missing the belt pulley. I've seen several pictures of other F12/F14's on the internet and they are also missing the belt pulley. Was there a reason for this and where is a good source for them?
Second, the block on mine has been cracked and repaired. The repair job looks pretty bad but it doesn't leak. The block # and the serial # match so I'm reluctant to replace it. If this was a common problem will I have a hard time finding a good one?
Last, are their other common problems I need to know about on this model?
