NC: not to be a pain, but it is possible this ex-postie was also a Veteran. In that case, it is VERY appropriate that the flag be dipped for this nobody! I have learned a lot about patriotism and respect for Veterans from my American brothers and sisters, and I for one fly my flag at half staff whenever someone I know who is a Vet has passed on. This is the least I can do to help us all remember those of us who have answered the final call! Everything is not always as it appears.
