Paul: I already have the blank rim remedy, I did a bit of grinding and removed the centers from a couple of donut spare rims from rear wheel drive Chevy Caprices. Problem now is the mounting dogs, I have a set from a pair of Super A front wheels but they would need spacers under them. The actual depth of the drop center on the Chevy rim is the same as SA rim. The width of the drop center is about 1/4 wider but that really doesn't matter as the whole rim is an inch wider. 15" SA rim being 3" wide and 16" rim being 4" wide. My brothers 230 rims are 4" wide. We never did stir him too much on YT discussions did we, I haven't heard tell of him since. He did tell me his problem was pilot bearing and he was going to send some photos.

Getting back to wheels, I just trying to decide if I can fabricate dogs that will look right. I placed the Chevy rim over the cast center of 130 front wheel and to center the wheel it takes exactly 7/8" spacer at each of the three mounting points. I'm thinking about rolling 3/4 x 1-1/2 flat bar into curve of rim, cutting it into 4" pieces, weld them to the rim, then weld 1/2 x 1-1/2 flat bar in for lugs to bolt on with. I can then build up the inside of the curved 3/4 x 1-1/2 with bead welding and grind to a taper so it works like the original for tightening.

Then it would probably be a whole lot less expensive if someone happend to sell what I need.
