Hugh, Welding 3 dogs on each rim shouldnt be all that hard, you can use some angle iron for that matter, then make spacers to go between the dogs and the hub casting. The old style were just that except that the spacers were an integral part of the angle piece. As long as you have your bolt hole pattern right so that your hub is centered right, I think you have the problem about whipped. You're right, we didnt seem to inspire your brother to spend much time here on YT. Oh well, we cant convert everyone....
