buying a international 504

have been considering buying an international 504 manufactured in early sixties. this machine is a little rough and last ran about a year ago. owner
has invoices showing considerable work done on engine and hydraulics ($1,500-$1,800) before it was parked due to the owners health. the owner wants about a thousand dollars for it. i am interested in older tractors but not very knowledgable. if you guys know of any reason to stay away from this particular model or have any input at all i would appreciate it. also it has a front end loader on it.
