Hi Hugh, I see you are an early riser too! :>) My Dad bought a '51 H new, and I swear it had 13.5/38( or thereabouts) on it. Could this be the case or is my old mind playin' tricks on me? Also, while I've got you on the phone, I keep reading about all these guys plowing with a H. I know that different soils surely make a difference, but I cannot imagine even hooking an H to a plow. I remember that we had to be in low most of the time plowing with a M and a 2/14" plow. On lighter soils, we could go to 2nd. But, we always had to plow deep for coverage and didn't consider the thing even being in the ground at anything less than 8". We ran a dairy and were always turning under alfalfa. Those old stands had roots the size of a man's wrist and you could almost hear 'em snap when the lathe hit 'em. Allan
