I've got leaks like crazy. One leak comes from either the governer or the oil pan or the plate infront of the governor or all three. The other leak is coming fron the canister that I was told use to hold gas to start the engine because the tractor was a distillate tractor or kerosene tractor. The other leak is either the hydraulic belly pump the plate behind the pump or where the rear is attached just behind the pump. Also the fuel strainer leaks. Is this all normal for a 62 year old tractor or has this tractor just not been taken care of, or worked like crazy. I'm curious as to how much all these leaks would cost to get fixed or what stuff I would need to fix these leaks. I can post some pictures where all the leaks are if anyone needs help determining how easy or hard. The only one I think would be hard to fix is the last one where the rear is attached behind the pump or maybe its leaking around the pump. This tractor just leaks. Oh and theres another one. Gasoline leaks out the bottom of the carburetor after its been choked not even out of the drain cock but the little bump out on the bottom. I dont think its supposed to do that. Another problem is how much tension should you feel on the hydraulic engaging lever. Mines just flimsey and feels like its not attached to anything in there. Finally, the tractor misses, and just sounds all wrong to me. I think its because the carb is in such bad shape. It's probably not getting a good supply of fuel...I replaced the points, rotor, spark plugs and everything. I didn't replace the wires, but they seem like they are in pretty good shape. I'm afraid to even go inside the engine I'm afraid of what I might find. I just hope its pretty clean in there. It doesn't smoke to bad. Only when it first starts up, and when I give it a ton of gas. I know this is a lot of questions, but i just couldn't stop once i started. Thanks all

The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
