The tank has already been taken off the tractor and cleaned with fuel oil, as I already mentioned in the post "M gas tank problem solved". The fuel oil was dumped out the hole where the gas cap goes. The place where the gas leaves the tank hasn't gotten plugged up since then. I told Rick what happened today, and he said he didn't think very much more rust would come out of the tank. He also said to put a fuel filter in the gas line, and told me he has one on his M.

When you say I need to remove the tank from the tractor and clean it thoroughly, do you mean you don't think it was cleaned thoroughly enough?
