The air in the fuel filter is O.K.. I've tried to memorize where the fuel line is when gas is flowing freely so I can tell if anything is getting clogged up. If you have one of the disposable plastic fuel filters, you could even draw a line along it with a sharpie.

I assume the little leak is where the metal fuel line screws into the sediment bowl/valve. You could wrap the threads with nylon tape before screwing the fitting in to try to stop it. If it's where the rubber hose fits over the metal fuel line, a small hose clamp should do it.
