Thanks Mark & Dave! I’m ready install new bearings in my SH (soon as the brown truck delivers ‘em...) and until now have been uncertain of the R&R process. Your advice helps a bunch! Note: On my SH each rod cap is clearly stamped with it’s respective cylinder number. Did not however see any ID marks on the main caps. So before I took the mains down I prick-punched each cap with for position and orientation in order to return them same as before. And yes - I'm figuring to check the new bearing clearances with Plastigage before buttoning everything up for good...
